BPD: If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck!
It's crucial to realize that people with BPD see their world in terms of black or white. There are NO GREY AREAS. So, their mentality is, if a few children or teens are "happy" with the radical bodily changes they make when they choose to alter their gender, ALL are happy with them.
This of course, is absurd. There are more people than you can imagine, who regret having gotten tattoos or body piercings when they were young and impulsive or drunk~ and yet, they have to live their life with short-sighted choices they made on a whim, because it seemed a "Good Idea"
at the time!
Borderlines lack the capacity for circumspection, or Big Picture thinking. This means they make impetuous choices and decisions they never think through first, in terms of how they'll feel about them at any point in the future.
This issue is indicative of someone who has only a young child's capacity for making well-reasoned, responsible choices~ that is, choices they WON'T regret as they mature. Only time and considerable life experience helps us decide on what's right for us long-term. Anything less is pure conjecture, based on feeling a need for change in the moment, without consideration for long-terms consequences or repercussions.
I was in the beauty business for decades. When a female client sat in my chair and asked for a radical style change, I'd ALWAYS ask what was going on in her life first. Women tend to take their frustrations out on their HAIR.
When a gal feels out of control in her professional or personal domains, she looks for ANYTHING she can change, to alter how she feels in the moment. This factor alone, often leads to regrettable choices.
I sent many of these women back home to think about addressing (perhaps therapeutically) the out-of-control feelings they were having, so they might circumvent making a decision they'd hate themselves for, 2 days later. Many later thanked me, for having curbed their impulsivity.
If a child can't vote or drink alcohol in most states until they're 21, there's good reason for it. BTW, the psychological community does not consider someone to have OUTGROWN their adolescence, until they PASS the age of 23. Even then, it's highly questionable that many have the capacity for adult reasoning, and making rational decisions.
For any government to sanction sexual reassignment surgeries and pressure doctors to perform them on minors, is utterly ludicrous and dangerous to the psychological and emotional well-being of thousands. Even well-seasoned adults change their minds from time to time. How can we not allow for the probability that children do?!
But then, these are the SAME folks that welcomed millions of unvaccinated migrants into the US, while forcing the rest of us to wear masks, stay confined at home and be treated us like lepers, if we resisted getting vaccinated during a viral pandemic THEY paid to have created in a Chinese laboratory!
If this SEEMS insane to you, it's because it IS.
