Fear not: Trump's gonna be just FINE . . . !
Post-election trepidation, due to the Anxiety Monster's hold on us.
I hear and have read from a fair number of people who are waiting for the other shoe to drop, regarding Trump’s safety. This concerns me, more than imagining yet attempt on the man’s life.
Let me explain: Metaphysical Law teaches us that whatever we give our attention and focus to, we create. If we’re afraid of getting cancer, and every day of our life is hyper-focused on eating a macrobiotic diet to deter such a dreadful outcome, we are DAILY attracting that disease to ourselves, due to our unrelenting attention to it.
This principle holds true in context of ANYTHING we fear. Fear is the most powerful attractor that exists within the human psyche, given we can always mentally envision that which we feel afraid of. When we see something in our mind’s eye, we are in the process of creating and manifesting it, whether that mental image is negative OR positive!
Every single thing you own in your immediate environment: Your smartphone, your wristwatch, your various wardrobe choices, your apartment or home, your jewelry, your kitchen appliances, etc., began with a desire for those items. When we desire something, even if it’s a love affair, we picture it in our mind’s eye. The more we envision it, the stronger our ability grows to manifest that which we are desiring. DESIRE is always the tiny seed from which manifestation germinates and grows.
Now, let me make a bold, yet very true statement, ‘cause many of you need to hear this: Most humans live with generalized Anxiety Disorder. It’s at your baseline, along with depression that’s a moldy old leftover from a childhood fraught with setbacks, disappointment and emotional pain you had no way out of, unless ya left home at three or four years old, and tried to survive on the streets.
I ran away from home one day, after my mom put me down for a nap. Our family dog, Cho cho went with me. In hindsight, I’m astounded I had the survival instincts and level of wisdom at that time, to climb out my bedroom window and take off for uncharted territory on my own! I was three years old.
When we experience painful disappointment and setbacks on a regular and frequent basis as young children soon after experiencing brief, stable and calm episodes, we become conditioned to distrusting light, good feelings. When these “good” feelings occasionally come around, if they last for more than a few minutes, we go up into our head and scan our horizon, to see what sort of ‘monster’ is awaiting to yank our momentary glee away from us. And when we think long and hard enough on this, we can always discern its face and form, can we not??
Mentally fast-forwarding into the future never fails to provoke anxiety in us~ and yet, due to consistent, repetitive childhood programming, when a stable, light moment was always followed soon after by the rug getting yanked out from under us, we live with frequent feelings of fear and dread that some kind of terrible fate awaits us, just around the bend of our NOW. Having worked over the course of many years with severely anxiety-ridden clients, I can guarantee you that the most common anxiety trigger held by millions of people worldwide, is “waiting for the other shoe to drop.”
These folks accommodate this trigger, they learn to “live with it,” but it deters their capacity to create a rich, rewarding life for themselves. Still, childhood conditioning remains deeply entrenched, until it is dismantled and eliminated.
When we grow up in an environment where we had no control over the painful experiences we had to endure, we develop clever coping strategies. One of them, is anticipating disaster, in order to stave off the emotional devastation a young child feels, when bad feelings inevitably follow good, due to the actions and decisions of unstable and/or incompetent parental units.
Just like Pavlov’s dogs that were programmed to salivate, anticipating being given food just after a bell was rung, we humans were programmed to expect setback, disappointment and sadness, soon after feeling a little ray of ‘hope’ that tomorrow might feel better than yesterday, if we got any chance to briefly experience light, good, even joyful moments in the course of a day or week.
Dear readers, I am not a stranger to this dysfunctional reflex. I’ve had to work very hard to dismantle my own automatic assumption that some terrible fate awaits me, if I dare to let myself feel “Contented and Happy,” for more than a few minutes at a time, and I’m happy to report, I’ve succeeded.
My gift in conquering this issue for myself has come in part, from working with scores of people who’ve had acute anxiety and panic symptoms lifelong, and gaining a very intimate understanding of how they developed this extremely distressing disorder. The etiology of this issue in countless people all over the globe, is always identical. It simply and predictably stems from childhood programming!
Early programming thankfully, can be deprogrammed and re-programmed. Numerous phobias can even be eliminated, through helping one realize that what they THINK they’re afraid of, merely spawns from a control reflex in ‘em that exerts its need to feel more dominion over an amorphous, sinister “Monster” that threatens to rob ‘em of their sense of stability, calm and joy. In short, this is a childhood superstition that has run amok, yet continues to cast a dark shadow over every life experience we encounter in adulthood.
It’s so much easier to feel in control of that Monster, if we assign our own specifics to it, is it not?? If we can envision a known entity, aren’t we gonna feel a bit less afraid of it, merely due to our familiarity with that entity? (Think of alien beings from other planets, here~ how DO ya feel about the prospect of their existence?)
Many of us envision as children, what our life will entail when we’re grown, to meet our Happiness quotient. It could be a fantastic love affair, owning our own home, driving a hot sportscar, or whatever. When we fast-forward into the future on the stuff we really want, we’re actually in the process of creating it, Metaphysically speaking.
The same happens when we envision stuff we DON’T want! But many find it more comfortable to remain afraid and miserable, than to hold out hope for something much better, because the Subconscious Mind remembers what disappointment felt like to us when we were very little, and hadn’t yet developed any coping mechanisms to deal with that pain! Hence, we refuse to set ourselves up for disappointment~ and reflexively run away as fast as we can, from hoping for a much brighter tomorrow.
Self-sabotage in this regard, is way more common than you might imagine~ particularly for Borderlines who routinely struggle with Anxiety Disorder symptoms, and intrusive, Obsessive-Compulsive thoughts.
Leading up to this election, I had conversations with several friends, who dared not hope for a Trump victory, for fear of having to FEEL crushing disappointment if he lost. A whole lot of our personal freedoms and ability to thrive was riding on this election, and we all felt the sting of it! I knew exactly what this trepidation was about for these folks, and it told me everything I needed to know about their childhood experiences.
When the Collective Consciousness envisions a common goal, miracles can happen! Entire church congregations of people praying for one of their own’s healing from illness or severe injury has brought about spontaneous recovery for that individual~ as an example. I’m not ashamed to admit, I vehemently prayed every single day~ often several times a day, for this win for Trump. My life’s pretty damned good, but I asked that God to please help all people who’ve been struggling under Biden’s corrupt and sinister regime, so that we could all heal and rebalance as a nation.
There is NO doubt in my mind, that The Guy Upstairs had a hand in Trump’s landslide victory! None, whatsoever. And I knew I wasn’t alone in this asking~ along with those who were less afraid to risk HOPING for it. I cried uncontrollable tears of joy the next morning, when I first read the results (on Substack, no less)!
Anxiety and panic symptoms can be eliminated completely, with a modicum of unique guidance and learning, even if Agoraphobia is keeping ya stuck at home. Healing can happen within a matter of weeks, without the adjunctive aid of medication.
Remember, folks~ we always feel fearful and intimidated about that which we do not understand. We experience these types of feelings as well, upon deciding to attempt something/anything new~ because it’s unfamiliar and unknown to us! Once we dip our toes in those waters, we discover there was little to be afraid of . . . but the fear never goes away, until we muster up the courage to begin doing the thing we feel afraid of.
My website sports an article on Anxiety Disorder. I wrote it close to a couple decades ago. I’m including it for you here, because it might fill in a few blanks for ya, and help you view your anxiety responses and/or triggers from a more logical and less scary place.
Just remember~ you can rid yourself of this issue, and while this may at this moment seem impossible (which is completely understandable, by the way) it can be done with a bit of unconventional assistance.
As a final note, I am still praying for Trump~ but not in the way you might suspect. He is very much in need of some relaxing, restorative time to help him begin recharging his mental, emotional and physical batteries. NOBODY can keep up the pre-election and post-election pace this man has, without it taking a toll on the body. Nobody.
I readily see the strain on his face, and it concerns me. The continuous stress ‘The Donald’ has had foisted on him while in office the first time and ever since, has been nothing short of monumental. To me, this man is an Icon~ almost not even human! I couldn’t have kept pace with him, at even half my age! It’s just one of my tragic flaws in this lifetime. I don’t cope well with ongoing stress, but I respect this vulnerability in myself and work to curb it, so it doesn’t get a chance to destroy me.
Donald Trump literally thrives on challenge and stress. It motivates him, and he gets bored without it. Still, let’s all send him loving, healing thoughts, and envision him taking some much-needed breaks from ‘stocking his cabinets,’ so he can restore himself fully, for the challenges and fights ahead.
