For my Facebook friends~ a little movie madness!
Still can’t sign onto my FB page, so Substack may be my only way to reach ya for awhile. I wanted to let ya know of a couple of films I liked on Prime Video, and they are as follows: “Burning Plain” (2008) starring Charlize Theron as a sexually compulsive, successful restaurant owner.
We have questions as we watch this flick. We’re kind of in the dark at times, particularly when new characters are introduced~ until we begin seeing how they’re interconnected, and vitally integral to the storyline.
You know Me, I’m thinking “BPD” throughout the entire movie, and it’s a solid illustration of what I’ve been saying all along: Borderlines beget Borderlines. Kim Basinger is a featured player, and she’s always highly watchable, isn’t she? This film keeps you guessing thru present-day scenarios and flashbacks, which are part of this movie’s suspense and intrigue.
On another note, if you like dry humor and are aching for a bit of levity in this crazy, fucked-up, doom and gloom world Joe Biden appears to take delight in perpetuating, try and catch “The Little Death” (2015), also on Prime. Romantic entanglements among several couples and the misadventures they have (mostly due to poor communication and their individual fetishes and proclivities), is well worth an evening’s romp on the wild side.
You feel like you’re a fly on the wall watching these sordid tales play out, and just like you can hardly hold back your laughter when a friend looks ridiculous as they’re tripping and falling~ even if you feel guilty for it, this movie comes close to replicating that type of experience for ya.
I sure do miss ya, FB friends~ it’s just not an interactive experience anymore, which was a big part of my daily ritual for several years . . . but if ya wanna drop me a line when ya read this post, send it to GettinBetter2019@gmail.com, and I’ll be delighted to hear from ya, and will write back! In the interim, please accept this HUG from me!
