Hollywood romances: A trip to the moon on gossamer wings, or just one of those thigs?
One thing you can count on in Hollywood, is that however much in love celebrities are with each other, they're still emotionally underdeveloped, which means a long-term relationship or marriage will inevitably end poorly. Many of these folks have Borderline Personality Disorder traits, so ongoing loving, harmonious couplings are out of the question.
Ya can't build a stable bond as a couple, if even one of you is unstable emotionally. The film and TV industry is full of people who aren't happy with themselves. Most believe they're only as good as their last performance~ but what happens to their sense of Self during all the time in-between?!
The best actors tend to make the worst partners. These folks are intensity seekers who only feel vibrant and alive when a camera's on 'em and they're working. I've personally seen (among friends and lovers) what goes on inside these folks when they're between gigs. They're brutal to themselves.
Real life isn't a fairytale, and neither is real love. It's great to wish for Happily Ever After, but a relationship bond is only as sound as the two people involved, and Hollywood just isn't fertile ground for psychologically solid, emotionally grounded people to germinate and flourish.
