Is Art imitating Life these days, or is it the other way around?
I've noticed that Blue Bloods on Up (lifting) TV is censored. They bleep out words like 'bitch' as in son-of-a-bitch, and shit, which when you're watching on regular broadcasting, doesn't happen.
Still, it's nice catching up on old episodes~ EVEN when they're out of sequence. I mean, like one episode has the kids at a very young age, and the next episode in my lineup has em as teenagers! Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, I guess.
You can still find full (FREE) seasons of this show starting in 2010, on CBS.com. Past seasons might also be available on Netflix, but I'm not sure. One thing for sure, is it's a series that's high on morality and ethics (even tho it's a cop show), and how rare is this kind of entertainment these days?!
Way back when dinosaurs were roaming the earth, there were family shows like "Father Knows Best" and "My Three Sons" which dealt with everyday human challenges, and how to best handle them. More recently, we have the series (God, I hope it comes back) "Yellowstone," which is one of my all-time favs.
TV used to illustrate 'right' behavior, even in the midst of chaos, drama and crisis. It seems art is imitating life lately, and these kinds of moralistic, rational-thinking, anecdotal series have become a thing of the past.
Look around you at our world today (unless you've been wearing Biden-tinted blinders) and see just how far we've all fallen from grace. If you ask me, it's a cryin' shame.
