When Art imitates Life, you KNOW there exists a serious societal problem!
There's nothing fictional about Borderline Personality Disorder.
Every now and then I’m inspired to roam around my website and question, is this material still relevant? Can this article or forum page still be useful to people landing on this literature, while trying to recover from a medical disorder or toxic relationship bond? All too often (sadly), the two go hand in hand.
As hard as we might try, we cannot expect the physical body to stay well and thrive, when we’re routinely beating-up on ourselves (criticising, shaming, guilting, etc.). We cannot remain well, if someone else is emotionally and/or psychologically tearing us down, either. That shit lands on us like battery acid, and causes inflammation, disease and infirmity in the body~ no matter WHO’S inflicting it (a parent, child, friend, lover or spouse).
I haven’t updated this page since I first created it many years ago, but if you wanna learn what Borderline Personality Disorder behavior looks (and feels) like to ya IF you’re involved with one of these severely core-damaged folks, you can read a brief synopsis about some of my long-time favorite films and TV programs that illustrate BPD in a stellar manner: https://sharischreiber.com/and-the-oscar-goes-to/
At the very least, you’ll discover a few intriguing movies~ and perhaps enjoy some solid entertainment! Have you been noticing, they don’t make movies like they used to? Seems Hollywood’s so rife with borderline disordered folks these days, nobody has an original idea or concept for a movie anymore. They just keep regurgitating the same old themes, and miraculously believe we’ll be willing to pay to see it!
Snow White, my ass! What are the folks over at Disney Studios thinking?!
