IF you only seek therapeutic support when you feel down or in crisis, the rest of your life will continue to be plagued with these feelings. Growth or emotional development work can ONLY occur, when there are no dragons to slay or fires to put out. Humans who grew up under abusive, neglectful circumstances in their home of origin, became CRISIS ORIENTED. They developed an addiction of sorts to drama, chaos and setbacks, because it's what triggers an adrenaline rush for them, as it did when they were little. They adapted to these feelings by believing they were "normal," and to be expected in their everyday adult life.
